Global HR Business Partner Intern (Summer 2023)

Internship Program Overview:  
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives. 

Summary of Role:
The GLOBALFOUNDRIES Human Resources Development Program offers an exciting, 12-week summer internship designed to develop top Master’s students into high-performing HR professionals and exceptional leaders who will make an impact on the future of Semiconductor manufacturing. Interns will gain an understanding of the broad scope of GLOBALFOUNDRIES business and HR Operating model through a focused, specialized project where they will dive deep into their HR sub-function and deliver a high-impact assignment to the business. 

Essential Responsibilities:  

  • Support Global HRBP operations, such as talent development, leadership coaching, and other special projects 
  • Conduct research on cutting edge talent development programs in the industry 
  • Outline deployment plans for talent development and succession initiatives  
  • Support HRIS change management initiatives for global business organizations 
  • Provide detailed reporting, insights and feedback to the GF HR team 
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs 

Required Qualifications: 
  • Currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in a field of Business or Human Resources. 
  • Language Fluency:  English (Written & Verbal) 

Preferred Qualifications:  
  • Prior related internship or co-op experience 
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc. 
  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong planning & organizational skills

Expected Salary Range
The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
