Job Description

The Marketing Intern will work with the Development Manager to help create content and promotional materials that targets donors, volunteers, and participants. In this position the Marketing Intern will gain valuable experience working within a nonprofit organization and developing future skills within the field of marketing and communications.


  • Assist with the organization’s rebranding efforts
  • Help design new merchandise
  • Update content on New Hope’s website and media channels accordingly
  • Assist the Development Manager in creating a marketing calendars
  • Draft content for social media platforms to be used throughout the rest of the year
  • Assist in planning content for 2024
  • Attend program activities to take photos and videos for promotional content
  • Develop a system of tracking & organizing New Hope content New Hope stories 
  • Intentionally track and collect New Hope stories 
  • Organize Google Drive’s marketing folder
  • Increase the amount of Instagram engagement on New Hope’s account
  • Create and edit Instagram reels
  • Develop plans of increasing followers


  • Training and experience in marketing
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Quick learner
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Canva, Instagram and Facebook
  • Ability to use personal camera for internship projects
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Working Agreement:

  • The position is a part-time internship position for 15 hours/ 15 weeks (September - December) (flexible days/times depending on credit requirements)
  • The intern will be supervised by the Development Manager, Franchesca Hernandez
  • Specific office hours will be determined with direct supervisor.
