ClearPathNYC is a revolutionary organization aiming to revolutionize access to social wellness resources for young people in New York City, particularly those facing housing insecurity. Our innovative platform serves as a hub of information, resources, and advocacy, aimed at dismantling systemic barriers and fostering equity.
About the Role:
We're seeking a motivated, creative, and savvy Social Media Intern to join our team. This individual will be deeply conversant with social media trends, particularly on TikTok and Instagram, and will have the skills to create compelling and impactful content aligned with our mission and ethos. This is a hands-on role that will involve visiting nonprofits, conducting interviews, and creating videos that shine a light on the valuable resources available on our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and posting engaging content on ClearPathNYC's TikTok and Instagram accounts.
- Regularly visiting nonprofits and other service providers to capture video footage and conduct interviews.
- Utilizing video editing skills to create polished, impactful content for social media.
- Assisting with the development of a social media calendar and content strategy.
- Collaborating closely with the rest of our team to ensure our social media strategy aligns with our broader communication and advocacy efforts.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Deep familiarity with social media platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram.
- Proven ability to create compelling, visually appealing social media content.
- Strong video editing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and willing to learn and grow.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in social justice, particularly in relation to housing instability and social wellness.
