About you and this role

 

Internship opportunities exist in Dow’s Treasury organization for individuals who are preferably within one or two years of graduation and who are working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance or a related discipline. We are interested in individuals who are motivated by the challenges and rewards of working for a company that is experiencing tremendous growth and change.  The positions are located at Dow’s world headquarters in Midland, Michigan.

 

Dow’s Treasury organization is a world class, financially sophisticated global function that is part of Finance and is responsible for delivering risk management and financial liquidity to support Dow’s corporate strategy and long term vision. Treasury works closely with executive leadership to manage the risk/reward tradeoff across the company by utilizing a holistic enterprise-wide approach. Responsibilities:

 

Students will be assigned meaningful and challenging projects that will introduce them to the various processes that make up Treasury: Funding, Financial Risk Management, Financial Planning, Financial Operations, Treasury Systems, Portfolio Investments, Corporate Planning, Insurance, Venture Capital and Compliance.  Assignments vary and will be designed to complement the student’s prior experiences and background.  Student interns will be part of the Dow Chemical National Student Program, which includes students from a variety of educational disciplines and universities.  This program provides a competitive salary, paid vacation, travel costs reimbursed to and from college, housing provided at subsidized rates, and planned social activities and events throughout the summer.

Qualifications

 

  • Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related discipline.
  • Preferably within one or two years of graduation (Spring 2025 or Spring 2026)
  • A minimum 2.700+ GPA on a 4.000 scale is required, GPAs of 3.000 or higher are preferred.
  • A minimum requirement for the U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
