Public Relations Intern
Jobs Overview:
Motivated intern will work closely with the CEO and Marketing Team to create content for
events and press outreach. Candidate must be able to be onsite at least part-time and
must be able to receive full academic credit for this internship.
Outcomes/Deliverables:
● Crafting event press releases and sourcing press contact information;
● Working with Marketing Team to develop lookbooks and press outreach strategies;
● Reaching out to press in relevant publications to introduce them to Good Witch of
Salem;
● Develop CRM tool to help manage press interactions and leads; and,
● Produce and execute email newsletters to consumers.
Position Competencies:
● Wordpress: Extremely confident with WordPress and have mastered content
management systems.
● Social Media: Comfort in various social media platforms but specifically Instagram, Tik
Tok, Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook.
● Eye for Aesthetics: Have the ability to identify images that are on brand and tell a story.
● Persistence: Tackles problems in a productive and efficient manner. Willing to try and
test different approaches.
● Collaboration: Works well in a team environment. Proactively engages core development
to establish productive, trusting, and informed working relationships to tackle challenges.
● Attention to Detail: Have an eye for aesthetics and the ability to work within the style
guide for our company.
● Kid-Friendly: Must LOVE children and enjoy being around their presence! We are a child
based company and all of our content will include working with kids of all ages.
Education:
● Must be able to receive academic credit for internship
● Must obtain, or be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing, Communications, and
Creative fields preferred)
● Photoshop, Canva, and previous public relations/ or marketing internship experience is
a plus!
Start Date:
-Summer: June 5th (10 Week Program)
-Fall: September 11th (12-14 Week Program)
