Procurement Student Assistant - Spring 2024 - SEAL

GTRI’s Research Technology Group in the Sensors and Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory (SEAL) seeks a student to assist the procurement team. Daily tasks may include processing and delivering packages, updating databases, scheduling deliveries, performing inventory and resource organization, labeling equipment, etc. The student should be interested in learning about databases, simple IT tasks, office organization, and process efficiency.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Student Assistant

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer & Software Engineering, Business, Education, Engineering, or related field
  • 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Must be registered for at least 6 hours with your university

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Web browsers, MS Access, and Excel spreadsheets
  • Detail-oriented
  • The ability to work independently given tasks and departmental policies and guidelines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Data entry experience
  • Filing of records experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience scanning documents
  • Excellent record keeping and document management

HOURS PER WEEK

15-20 hours per week

U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

CLEARANCE TYPE REQUIRED

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.

HOUSING AND RELOCATION
