Field Operations Associate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Field Operations Associate is a fundamental position at Existing Conditions.  This position is the entry learning point on the field operations team, responsible for capturing client-site project data. The accuracy of the data collected by the Field Operations Associate contributes greatly to the quality of the client project.  Field Operations is responsible for researching and understanding the scope of work, traveling to client site locations (frequent local travel and short-term long-distance travel is normal) and collecting scan data at client project locations. Some responsibilities of this role are; 
 

  • Develop mastery of EC scanning equipment,
  • Troubleshoot and correct basic scanning issues.
  • Scanning small projects independently and working with the operations team on larger projects.
  • Understand Field Operations processes.
  • Basic computer knowledge requirements such as Google Workspace.
  • Attention-to-detail with client data including data capture, file storage and uploading to cloud servers.
  • Adequate space to work remotely for office computer work.
  • Communicate effectively through Asana and Slack.
  • A scanning associate should have some skill in processing data in Register 360 by the end of their first year.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Prior experience in 3d Reality Capture or surveying experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to accurately communicate with the team and document work completed.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and follow specific on-site working instructions.
  • High-degree of computer literacy with the ability to pay attention to detail and follow specific project requirements.
  • 1+ years of experience managing and archiving large files on a Windows-based OS and also possessing a high-level of competency in working with technical workflows.
  • Experience with Google Docs, Sheets, Slack, and Asana preferred.
  • Self-motivated and independent in finding solutions, learning new software, and working  effectively remotely.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to travel to and from client project sites, as needed.
  • High School Diploma required, some college experience preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Must have the physical ability  to climb stairways, access rooftops, and navigate through building access points to capture scan data.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to communicate well in a remote work environment, through internet messaging, email, and in-person remote video meetings.
  • Must comply with all safety requirements on-site, IAW with OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30.
