DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will obtain a working knowledge of the Milk Marketing Law, Milk Marketing Regulations and the Official General Orders issued by the Board. You will determine compliance with producer’s payment regulations and determine compliance with security regulations concerning bonded dealers and subdealers, as well as perform financial reviews of milk dealers to determine all costs of handling milk and review wholesale milk pricing to ensure compliance with Board’s Official General Orders’ minimum price provisions. 

This position will require you to review out-of-store milk prices for statistical purposes and to ensure compliance with Board-mandated minimum retail prices and conduct surveillance of dealers, subdealers, haulers and weigher/samplers to ensure compliance with Board Orders, Regulations and the Milk Marketing Law. You will also file non-traffic citations with appropriate authorities for violations of the Milk Marketing Law by persons not licensed by the Board.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Telework schedule is based on impending work tasks as they present themselves.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

 

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Financial Programs Trainee; or
  • Four years of accounting and/or auditing experience; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which includes fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting and auditing. (A Bachelor's degree with the 15 credits meets this requirement.)
