Position: Part-Time 10-12 hours per week

Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays

Time: 9 AM - 5 PM

Must be currently fingerprinted by the Department of Education or be willing to be fingerprinted.

Role:

  • Provide extensive in-person and virtual tailored technical assistance to aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, both in group settings and one-on-one.
  • Assist students in eliminating barriers to establishing and maintaining their own businesses and in gaining access to capital.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.
  • Prepare appropriate marketing materials in order to recruit program participants.
  • Organize, schedule, and conduct I WILL GRADUATE's entrepreneurial training seminars and workshops.
  • Register students for I WILL GRADUATE's entrepreneurial training seminars/workshops or for one-on-one assistance.
  • Assist clients with the completion of their business plans and/or entity formation.
  • Follow-up with students regarding open issues in their business plans/government filings and business needs

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Must have or be in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in business, accounting, or a related field and two years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Experience in the field of micro-enterprise or a small business operator with experience in a teaching or training environment.
  • Experience in lending, loan underwriting, credit grading, finance and credit analysis preferred
  • Business creation, development, and counseling skills.
  • Small Business Lending and Portfolio management skills preferred
  • Acute ability to scrutinize small business plans and loan requests preferred
  • Ability to work closely with multicultural clients and familiarity with the economic issues of a low-income, immigrant and disadvantaged client base.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.
