Commercial Operations Assistant

Job Title:            Commercial Operations Assistant 

Classification:                  Exempt (Full-Time)

Reports to:                      Director of PLM and Director of Strategic Initiatives

Summary:  Play an integral commercial operations and marketing role at the Parsippany NJ headquarters for a growing and fast-paced plastics compounding and distribution company. 

The Commercial Operations Assistant is a dynamic support role whose primary responsibility is to support the commercial operations team’s execution of the company’s sales strategy by managing and deploying critical product information (such as technical presentations, technical data sheets, safety data sheets, regulatory information, lead times, etc.) from our suppliers to our sales team. They will also be responsible for creating and managing monthly reporting that is critical to our communication with key suppliers on relevant commercial activity. They also help manage the sales pipeline, create sales tools to help our technical sales team and support the integration of our ERP system with our CRM. This position also serves as a support function for our marketing team in their promotion of the company marketing strategy via website, social media and print.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  1. Build & schedule reports through ERP system for Profitability analysis, sales history, supplier reporting and sales campaign dashboards.
  2. Setup Vendor Trainings
  3. Assist in support of sales team-Info lookups, trade shows, lead management, data inputting.
  4. Manage Supplier Portal, Datasheet Center & Product Sales Aid (PSA)
  5. Assist with Salesforce CRM Administration
  6. Assist in marketing activities and execution of company marketing strategies.
  7. General admin duties for Commercial Ops Team
  8. Ad hoc commercial administrative projects.

Other Job Duties: Responsibility and scope of task may grow over time to include other commercial and marketing needs.

Work Environment:           This job will operate on-site at HQ in Parsippany, NJ.   

Travel:   <15% travel

Required Education and Experience:           

Bachelor’s Degree Required. Plastics experience a plus.

Computer and advanced Excel skills required. 

Good verbal and communication skills a must. 

Prior experience for data analysis, ERP systems, Salesforce, B2B sales, B2B marketing, and/or B2B business development a plus.
