Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor
Currie & Brown is seeking a local recent graduate or future graduate who has either 1-2 years of construction industry related experience or who has no experience and is ready to start their career with the right company in our Bellevue office!

A general list of responsibilities we task our Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor is as follows:
- Involve in global tech companies’ projects in Greater Seattle Area or Pacific Northwest
- Develop and maintain budget and track project costs throughout the life of projects
- Change management, estimate impacts of changes and contingency drawdown
- Monthly cost reporting and budget reconciliation
- Develop risk register and track impacts
- Cash flow forecasting and monitoring
- Undertaking payment recommendations and review of contractor / consultant invoices
- Developing cost bucketing (WBS) and cost breakdowns
- Cost estimating through various design stages using past experience, historical data and parametric ratios
- Supporting client account management
- Communicating details effectively to internal and external stakeholders including presentation
- Establish new and maintain existing project controls tools
Qualities and experience we look for in Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor:
- Experience working on large complex capital projects not required but a plus
- Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of products (MS Word, Excel, Project)
- Candidates with the ability to be self-managing and require minimum supervision
- Good time management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Desire to lead, mentor and develop a successful team
- Organized with ability to manage work load
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related technical field preferable
