Social Media Intern

 

Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Social Media Intern to join the PRWeek/Campaign US/ MM+M - Marketing Department team. This position is located in our New York office.

 

Job Overview:

The social media intern will support the marketing department in our efforts to promote all aspects of the brands on social media, such as live events, webinars, editorial content, podcasts, subscriptions, and more. As a social media intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in analyzing social media performance metrics, engaging with audiences in real time, and monitoring brand presence by making sure all messaging is aligned with brand guidelines. 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing social media accounts, including scheduling around 20 posts a day across all three brands (PRWeek, Campaign US and MM+M), responding to comments, and engaging with followers.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm creative ideas for social media campaigns and promotions.
  • Conduct research on industry best practices and emerging trends in social media marketing.
  • Assist in analyzing social media performance metrics and preparing reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide general administrative support to the marketing department as needed.

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Proficient in using various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with followers, respond to comments and messages, and convey brand messaging effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Qualifications include:

Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field

 

What We Offer:

  • Location: NYC/NJ office (two days on-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays & 3 days remote)
  • Salary: $16/hr
  • Start Date/ Duration: June 10 - August 9, 2024
  • Schedule: 32 hours a week; Hybrid; Summer Fridays
