Finance & Accounting Internship

**Summer 2024 Internship Opportunity!** *Credit-Based Internship*

Position Title:   Finance & Accounting Intern

Position Type:   Internship

Location:            Hamilton, NJ

 

This is NOT a remote position. Candidate MUST report to Hamilton Office every workday.

Summary: The intern will provide administrative and office support to the Genesis Global Group – Corporate Finance Department. Responsibilities include performing the necessary specialized financial analysis and document preparation in the accounting process of the Company’s business operations.

 

Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities include:

  • Assist with conducting analysis and reconciliation on various balance sheets and income statements to determine the fluctuations of revenue and expense accounts and forecast the trend of revenue and certain expense accounts such as payroll, occupancy, R&D and department profitability
  • Assist with journal entries to ensure correctness
  • Perform administrative and office support to the Accounting team
  • Establish, maintain, and update files, records, certificates, and/or other documents
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing
  • Prepare a wide variety of confidential correspondence and reports (drafts memos/letters and e-mails)

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Performs other similar or related duties as required or assigned. 

 

Requirements:

Job Qualifications: 

General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) required

  • Must be a current student in an accredited college
  • Must be pursuing a major in Finance, Accounting, or similar major for which internship would be accepted for academic credit 
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite required 
  • Must possess a professional, polished image through in-person and phone interaction
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Well-developed and multi-tasking, organizational skills, and detailed-oriented
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and work well under stress
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and keep strictly confidential
  • Must be dependable and reliable
