Accounting Intern

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Finance and HR and working closely with the firm’s accounting team, this position is responsible for supporting finance and HR departments with various projects and tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Communicate with clients about payments and statements. 
  • Financial Support: Assist with accounts receivable collection, statement and invoice distribution, and maintain accurate and complete financial records. 
  • Administrative Duties: Provide administrative support, including assisting with research, filing, data entry, and calendar management.
  • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity, adhering to internal standards.
  • Learning Opportunity: Learn how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.

Requirements:

  • Tech Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, with the ability to manage tasks and multiple calendars/inboxes effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact comfortably at all levels of the organization.
  • Educational Background: Current student with studies in the areas of Accounting or Finance.
