Community Engagement VISTA (entry level)

Serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA with United Way of the Piedmont. As a Community Engagement VISTA, you will be responsible for building the capacity of a local nonprofit organization to provide health, education, and economic mobility services through implementation of strategic initiatives that build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities may include: 

• Grant writing and fund development
• Volunteer recruitment and training
• Marketing and communications
• Program assessment, development, and implementation
• Data collection, research, and analysis
• Community outreach and engagement

Available sites: PAL, Spartanburg Academic Movement, University of South Carolina Upstate
