Accounting/Finance Intern

Accounting/Finance INTERN - Summer 2024

We're looking for a summer Accounting/Finance Intern to join our team. This role offers a great opportunity to gain professional experience in your field of interest. The selected student will work under the direction of various Finance team members, as well as independently, on a variety of tasks and robust projects that directly impact Finance and other areas of the organization. This is a hybrid role based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Examples of assignments may include:

Shadow finance members to gain insight and knowledge on varying roles
Create, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to ready for internal publishing
Assist in Accounts Payable and Receivable departmental functions
Learn the ins and outs of cost accounting and how to influence manufacturing productivity
Evaluate Certificates of Insurance to ensure contract compliance and database accuracy
Perform internal audit reviews to ensure policy compliance
Ad hoc projects as assigned

What we are looking for:

Major: Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
Class: Must have completed two years in college
Knowledge: Understanding of basic Accounting / Finance language and concepts; Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SAP is a plus
Approach: Must be willing to work in a team environment, excited to learn and motivated to contribute
Housing and Transportation: Must provide own housing, transportation, and home internet access during internship

Program Details: This is a temporary paid internship opportunity. Program dates are May 20 to August 9. Intern must have the ability to work full time (approximately 40 hours a week) for the whole term. Interns must be 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
