Communications and Marketing Intern

Primary Responsibilities:

• Creates social media content for PPHP’s Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Threads accounts.

• Compiles media reports on issues related to PPHP’s work, including abortion access, sex education, developments in sexual and reproductive health care, and more.

• Designs promotional materials (posters, flyers, postcards, stickers, special event promotions); promotional products; signage; in-center advertising; email newsletters for constituencies including donors, activists, and volunteers; and brochures and other collateral materials.

• With support from Manager of Communications & Marketing, write press releases, media talking points, letters to the editor, and opinion pieces.

• Works to gain greater knowledge of sexual and reproductive health, rights, and freedom issues.

• Conducts appropriate research for a variety of communication campaigns.

• Other projects and duties as required or assigned by External Affairs staff.

• Assists External Affairs staff in all department efforts including special projects, internal and external communications, and interdepartmental projects.
