Social Media Content Intern

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and creative Social Media Content Intern to assist with our marketing efforts and customer relationship management. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a small minority and woman-owned language services company. Our goal is to increase our client base and strengthen our presence. The ideal candidate is passionate about content creation, possesses strong creative and communication skills, and is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Create engaging, original, and visually appealing content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Content Calendar: Assist in planning and scheduling social media posts in alignment with content calendar and marketing initiatives.
  • Social Media Insights: Monitor social media channels, gather insights, and assist in generating reports using analytics tools to measure the performance of social media campaigns; present findings and updates at our biweekly company meetings.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, fostering conversations, and following others to build brand loyalty and awareness.
  • Trends and Research: Stay up-to-date with social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with different teams to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and marketing goals.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Mass Media, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus!).
  • Proficiency using social media platforms for personal or professional purposes.
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate fresh, innovative ideas.
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics.
  • Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite) a plus but not required.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Positive attitude and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Located in or around the New York City area.
  • Ability to work between 8-20 hours per week as needed.

Academic Credit

Students should consult with academic faculty to determine if this unpaid experience will earn credit.
