Jr Packaging Designer
Seeking a Jr packaging designer with experience working on consumer packaging to join our team. We are a growing company with a focus on home textiles and giftable items.
The Jr Designer will ensure the timely execution of each stage in the packaging process. Concept through final production. You must be a trend-forward designer, and problem solver, be able to switch gears quickly and communicate clearly with other team members. You will be asked to work on your own projects and jump in to help other designers as needed.
Requirements & Skills:
- BFA in graphic design
- 1-year graphic design experience in a related field is a plus.
- Advanced user of Adobe CC specifically: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat as well as knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong typography and logo design skills.
- Knowledge of packaging design, printing, materials, and structure
- Photography art direction and ability to retouch.
- Copywriting and/or advertising experience is a plus.
- Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations for Sales meetings.
- Responsible for the timely and precise creation of packaging designs, from concept to completion.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities, anticipate demands, communicate status appropriately.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Manage schedules and approvals of assigned projects.
- Ability to prepare mockup packaging for client review. Strong 3D hand skills.
- Ability to create 3D renderings for presentation is a plus.
