Chief of Staff to CEO

Job Title: Chief of Staff

Location: Newark, NJ (Position is not remote)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Chief of Staff to work closely with our CEO, supporting critical projects and strategic initiatives that drive organizational growth and impact. The Chief of Staff will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency, facilitating communication across departments, and ensuring alignment with our mission and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the CEO in meetings, communications, and interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the CEO’s calendar, prioritizing appointments and engagements effectively.
  • Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations on behalf of the CEO.
  • Support the CEO in meetings by taking notes, tracking action items, and ensuring follow-up.
  • Serve as a liaison between the CEO and senior management team, fostering collaboration and alignment on key initiatives.
  • Participate in strategic planning, policy development, and decision-making processes alongside the CEO and leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, public health, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business or executive management role, preferably within the healthcare sector or non-profit environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for reporting and analytics.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization and with external partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of fundraising strategies and experience with proposal writing.
  • Experience in strategic planning, operations management, or project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Passion for community health and a commitment to advancing health equity.
