Engineering Associate

Andrew Katz Engineering, PLLC is looking for an Engineering Associate to join our team. This role will assist in projects both in the office and in the field focused on façade/Local Law 11 inspections, mechanical , plumbing, sprinkler design projects, amongst others. 

Responsibilities:

 On-Site Inspections:

  - Conduct thorough inspections related to the job scope of work - façade, MEP, fire alarm, etc. across various projects in New York City’s five boroughs.

  - Assess conditions for safety, durability, and compliance with local codes and regulations.

  - Prepare detailed inspection reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective actions in preparation for Design Plans and Department of Building permit filings.

Design Plans/AutoCAD Drafting:

  - Utilize AutoCAD software to create and modify detailed technical drawings and plans for Engineering jobs

  - Collaborate with our team to interpret design concepts into accurate drawings.

  - Ensure drawings adhere to project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.

  - Revise drawings based on feedback from project managers, engineers, and clients.

Documentation and Reporting:

  - Maintain comprehensive documentation of inspection reports, drawings, and project files.

  - Assist in the preparation of technical reports, and presentations as required.

  - Ensure all documentation meets quality assurance and control standards.
