Opportunity Information + Key Responsibilities

 

HUNT is searching for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team in the Horseheads, NY office.

 

Job Type: Full-time

 

Schedule: 8-hour Day shift. Monday-Friday.

 

Wage Range: $41,600 - $52,000 per year. Salary commensurate with experience and talent. 

 

HUNT is searching for a Mechanical Engineering Technician interested in joining a thorough, fast-paced team, with a focus on high caliber work while balancing employee work-life relationships over the long term. Perform design functions including equipment selection, system sizing, load calculations, product specifications, and design layouts for electrical systems. Prepare design documents for senior engineering and client review. Incorporate a working knowledge of building and energy codes. Education + Qualifications

 

 

Position requires knowledge of electrical for a wide range of facility types and projects varying in size and complexity.

Engineering and design experience specific to lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm/security to assure safe reliable and energy efficient operation with a focus on sustainability and cost-effective solutions. 

Candidate should be familiar with AutoCAD, MS Excel, Power Point, Word and have proficient knowledge of lighting and calculation programs. 

REVIT knowledge a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information to clients, as well as collaborate with all other disciplines to create constructible designs

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred. (Qualified professionals without a Bachelor's degree will be considered with experience.)

Interest in licensure in the State of New York and LEED AP certification a plus
