Service Engineer

IBA

IBA Industrial (https://www.iba-industrial.com) is looking for a site-based Service Engineer to join our team. As a vital member of our dedicated customer team, the Site Engineer will manage and ensure the optimal performance of our state-of-the-art accelerator-based system, located at the customer site, which produces crucial radioisotopes for medical applications.

 

Essential functions

  • Maintain and deploy the system for various customer needs, which will include but not be limited to: QA, Development, Software/Hardware Testing, Troubleshooting, and Experimentation.
  • Troubleshoot system equipment including electrical, mechanical, and software problems.
  • Perform maintenance of the system including but not limited to routine preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and corrective maintenance as necessary.
  • Perform system inspections and clearly communicate the status of the system to leadership as well as to IBA employees.
  • Provide support to system hardware and software testing.
  • Support daily operations for the customer staff as defined by the Field Service Manager in accordance with site policies.
  • Maintain adequate records as defined by the customer and Field Service Manager in accordance with company QA and applicable regulations.
  • Support the IBA’s systems in all phases, which will include but not be limited to unit testing, integration testing, validation testing and other various site related activities as the Field Service Manager defines them.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

 

Required education, experience and skills

  • B.S. in Engineering, Physics or other applicable field, or an Associate’s degree with 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in electrical/mechanical system repair, troubleshooting, maintenance of large integrated systems.
  • Candidate should have experience in several of the following: Cyclotrons, Electronics, Mechanical Systems, Software Analysis, X-Ray Systems, Positioning Equipment, Cooling Systems, Vacuum Systems, PLC’s (Siemens), Regulation Loops, Drivers, Sensors, Electric Motors, High Voltage Equipment, Power Supplies, Proton Therapy Systems, etc.
  • Solid general knowledge of/experience with Microsoft products: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Knowledge of local EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of LINUX systems, SAP, Siemens Step 7, and Service Max is a plus.

 

Travel

Travel occasionally, as necessary for training (+/- 2 months) and/or meeting events (approximately 10%).

 

Compensation & Benefits

The approximate annual base salary range for this position is provided below. Within this range, individual compensation is influenced by various factors such as location, job-specific skills, work experience, and relevant education or training. This role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses, profit sharing, commissions, and benefits.
 

Approximate Range

$80,000 – 101,000 USD
