Business Development Designer

We’re looking for a Business Development Designer to join Island Exterior Fabricators!

For more than a decade, Island Exterior Fabricators (IEF) has operated as a privately owned practice specializing in the delivery of bespoke, high-performing prefabricated facade systems. Our 50-acre manufacturing campus is headquartered in Calverton, New York, and supported by design and engineering offices in Manhattan, Boston, and Hartford.

Our organization is fully self-sustained, supported by state-of-the-art equipment and facilities that enable us to deliver a high-quality product. Our production capabilities, installation network, and bonding capacity allow Island to complete large-scale, complex projects in a timely, efficient manner.

What you’ll do:

• Create Precise Technical Drawings: Ensure all technical drawings and models are accurate and meet project specifications.
• Maintain Excellence: Uphold high-quality standards in all presentations and deliverables, showcasing your dedication to perfection.
• Meet Deadlines: Deliver projects on time and within agreed timelines, effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of the curve by engaging in ongoing learning and development, keeping up with industry trends and software advancements.
• Innovate and Improve: Provide valuable feedback and suggestions for process improvements, driving efficiency and excellence in our operations.
• Interpret and Develop: Accurately read and interpret 2D shop drawings to develop precise technical drawings for façade systems.
• Collaborate and Coordinate: Actively participate in multidisciplinary coordination sessions, offering expert input to enhance project outcomes.
• Model with Precision: Model 3D components and buildings accurately for detailed analysis and compelling presentations.

Salary Range: $71,700-$85,000

Location: Boston

Schedule: Hybrid

Travel: As per project requirements. Less than 20%.
