Based in Chicago, In-Sattva® is founded on the basic principle of its Sanskrit meaning, “Living in Goodness.” Our eclectic collections of colorful bohemian apparel, accessories, home goods, kitchenware, and wellness bring the beauty, style, art, and rich colors of Eastern wear to our customers in the West. We are a fast-growing start-up, entrepreneurial, and out to create a market in the US for Kurta Tunics and other culturally inspired products.

We are currently seeking a Fashion Photographer with a passion for fashion and lifestyle photography to bring our products to life through compelling visual storytelling. The candidate will assist and be trained in day-to-day photography and content creation activities, including product, lifestyle, and campaign photography. Duties include but are not limited to assisting in set styling, editing photos, collaborating with the marketing team, and producing content for digital and social media channels.

Qualified candidates must have a strong interest in photography, visual arts, and/or fashion, and be pursuing or have completed a related degree or certification. The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a dynamic environment. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as is the willingness to work flexible hours and handle equipment and props.
 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

❖ Assist in product photography, capturing our collections’ unique textures, colors, and designs
❖ Support the marketing team by creating on-brand visuals for campaigns and product launches
❖ Assist in lifestyle photography, collaborating with models, stylists, and set designers
❖ Edit and retouch images to ensure professional, high-quality visuals for social media and e-commerce
❖ Help manage and organize photo shoots, from planning and logistics to execution and post-production
❖ Assist with creating video content for social media (such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), if applicable
❖ Maintain photography equipment and manage props, sets, and location details
❖ Any other office tasks, as assigned by the team
 

PROFILE OF EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

❖ Must be pursuing or have completed a degree or certification in photography, visual arts, fashion, or a related field
❖ Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and grow in a start-up environment
❖ Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team setting
❖ Proficiency in photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.)
❖ Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing trends
❖ A passion for fashion, art, and visual storytelling
❖ Ability to lift and manage photography equipment (such as cameras, computers, and tripods) and props as needed

This is an in-person office internship/job based at our Showroom and Offices in Little Italy near the UIC Campus. The start and end dates are flexible. The selected candidate will undergo a 2-week training and orientation program.
