Engineering Technician / AutoCAD Operator

The Cedars Group, Incorporated - Consulting Engineers provides Professional Engineering services to both the building & the telecommunication industries in NJ, NYC and PHL. The Cedars Group Inc. is headquartered in Woodbridge, NJ.

We are seeking entry-level or experienced professionals with ACAD experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Civil, Structural, and Site Layout drawings using AutoCAD software.
  • Utilize Adobe PDF to read, mark-up and analyze Civil, Structural, Architectural or Mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to log/track data.
  • Data research, collection, and verification.
  • Participate in site visits and take field measurements as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience or coursework in AutoCAD or similar 2D/3D drawing software's for drafting.
  • Experience or coursework reading Civil, Structural, Architectural or Mechanical engineering and/or shop drawings.
  • Experience or coursework utilizing Microsoft Excel, BlueBeam and/or Adobe PDF.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Acrobat.
  • Interest in engineering design, structures, buildings and/or telecommunications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn.
