Verification Engineer

Verification Engineer
Location: Exton, PA

We are looking for a dedicated professional to take on the role of Verification Engineer at our Exton, PA location. This opportunity allows individuals to immerse themselves in the software verification process aligned with the RTCA DO-178C standard. The role offers exposure to avionics technology, safety-critical software applications, software design techniques, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, this position is ideal for individuals looking to transition into systems engineering or electrical engineering roles in the future.

Primary Duties:

  • Crafting test protocols based on defined system and software specifications.
  • Executing evaluations on various avionics systems.
  • Creating and sustaining test applications for software assessment.
  • Examining performance metrics related to graphics and input/output operations.
  • Conducting tests both independently and within broader system frameworks.
  • Reviewing software elements to identify discrepancies and regression issues.
  • Ensuring adherence to coding guidelines through thorough analysis.
  • Assessing structural code coverage.
  • Documenting software issues and generating detailed reports.
  • Preparing comprehensive technical documentation.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Proficiency in C programming fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of VB/VBA and Assembly programming.
  • Experience with FPGA technologies, particularly Xilinx.
  • Familiarity with Vivado design suite.
  • Exposure to hardware description languages such as VHDL or Verilog.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel.
  • Understanding of modern software development practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Quick learner with an eagerness to expand technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and a commitment to accountability.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is mandatory.
  • The position requires physical presence at our Exton, PA headquarters.
