Internship Opportunity: Frontend Software Developer: React

Position: Intern React Developer 

Location: Remote

Position Overview:

As an Intern React Developer, you will work closely with our talented development team to create dynamic and responsive user interfaces using React.js. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in frontend development, collaborate on exciting projects, and contribute to the growth of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with designers and backend developers to translate design mockups and requirements into functional user interfaces.
  • Develop robust and scalable frontend solutions using React.js, JSX, JavaScript, HTML, and Tailwind.CSS.
  • Implement best practices for code quality, including modularization, reusability, and performance optimization.
  • Utilize Git and GitHub for version control, code management, and collaboration within the development team.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability.
  • Stay updated on emerging frontend technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve our development processes.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field.
  • 1 - 3 years of academic or project experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
  • 6 months - 1 year of academic or project experience designing and developing React.js applications.
  • Familiar with Git for version control and GitHub for code collaboration.
  • Solid understanding of modern web development principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for learning and staying updated on frontend development trends and technologies.
  • Portfolio: A website or GitHub link that describes at least one React.js project you’ve worked on.

Interns do not pay any fees.

Non-paid volunteer internships are based on your schedule. Internships are available via semester, academic school year, or during the summer. Our goal is to help you build your resume, learn how to work with a team and make a difference in helping young adults living with cancer.

Interns will be supervised by the CEO and software engineers, and assigned tasks via Trello.com, team communication through flock.com, email, phone calls, and video conferencing.
