I got to do psychology research and clinical work. This inspired me to finally change my major from biology to psychology (which used to be my minor). So, I loved it.
What I wish was different
Nothing really.
Advice
Apply early. Winter break is the time to start updating your CV and looking out for opportunities.

What I liked
Interesting research projects, friendly staff, opportunities to network and present research. Lots of free food!
What I wish was different
More opportunities for pre-medical students - was very much geared towards undergraduates interested in pursuing a PhD.
Advice
This would be a great opportunity for anyone looking to pursue a PhD, the more you put into it the better! Following the experience I was offered fast-trak type acceptance into the PhD program, so definitely try to impress your PI!

Undergraduate Research Fellow

What I liked
My PI and the staff/faculty assisting with the program were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Got an excellent insight to grad school, what a graduate lab looks like, and learned a lot about my research area.
What I wish was different
Students should be given the ability to switch advisors if things didn't work out the first week.
Advice
Be ready and enthusiastic about learning, collaboration, and communication.
